本日は、メルボルン高校交換留学説明会の第一回を行いました。
Today, we held the first orientation session for the Melbourne High School exchange program.

今回は３２人の応募があり、その中で１年生９名と２年生１１名の計２０名が選出されました。
最初に合格授与式を行いました。
This year, we received 32 applications. From these, a total of 20 students were selected: 9 first-year students and 11 second-year students. The session began with a ceremony to present acceptance to the selected participants.

次に校長先生からの激励の言葉
Next, the principal delivered words of encouragement:

「皆さんは春日部高校の代表というだけでなく、日本の代表者としての自覚と覚悟をもって、いろいろな経験をしてきてほしい。」
"You are not only representatives of Kasukabe High School, but also representatives of Japan. I hope you will embrace this responsibility with awareness and determination, and make the most of every experience."

最後に引率者紹介と今後の予定の確認を行いました。
Finally, we introduced the accompanying staff members and reviewed the schedule moving forward.

８月に向けて計８回の説明会と準備を行います。
In preparation for the trip in August, a total of eight orientation and preparation sessions will be held.

海外に行くという経験は非常に貴重な経験でもあります。言語、文化が違う場所では辛いことの方が多いと思いますが、それも全てこれからの人生の糧になる第一歩をしっかりと踏み出してほしいですね！

Studying abroad is an incredibly valuable experience. While facing differences in language and culture may be challenging at times, these experiences will undoubtedly become a meaningful foundation for the future. We hope each student takes this important first step with confidence and determination.
